Investigated of the unique manufacturing tecnique for the ODAWARA IMONO by
late HARUMITSU KASHIWAGI,who is a creator of KASHIWAGI ART FOUNDRY, which called "SAHARI".
ODAWARA-IMONO has 2 kind of low materials, it is a Brass and a SAHARI. The Brass is an alloy consist of copper and a zinc.
And the SAHARI is an alloy consist of copper and over 20% of tin. This SAHARI is very difficult the foundry or the processing, and the strength is brittle than other irons.
But the graceful lingering sound is lasting long, and heal you heart.
Harumitsu Kashiwagi. his casting technique had been create many superior sound in the world.
In that, his produced cymbal had evaluate the quality, and it dig as the ZILZJIAN who is a most famous
maker of cymbal in the world.

The young III rd TERUYUKI KASHIWAGI says that "I want to bring a happy or deep impression to many peoples of the world with only my SAHARI sound, so I have been to do more quest my manufacturing tecnique for SAHARI products.
He's claftman spirit has strains into the TANZAKU.
Usualy, EDO-FURIN or other most of furin has assinged a single of writing paper as a tanzaku.
But KASHIWAGI has 3 varieties of quaint, artistic and aesthetic tanzaku for his furin.
They are pasted 3 peaces of colorful Japanese paper WASHI.
And given a water proof coating with Japanese lacquer URUSHI to it.
